EDHS Driver Education

Instruction Permit Information

Driver education students CANNOT get a permit until 30 days before the class begins.

You must be 15 years old to get your permit.

You must have enough credits to be a sophomore at EDHS.

You must be registered for driver education class for 2011-2012.

We do not allow freshmen into driver education class.

First Semester Students 2012 -2013

Students entering driver education NEXT year (2012-2013) first semester, will be able to pick up their instruction permit applications in the office on or after July 21, 2012. Take the application to the Secretary of State Driver Services Facility in Galena (near Piggly Wiggly). You will take a written test, an eye exam, and you will need to pay $20

BEFORE THAT DAY, pick up a Rules of the Road book from the driver's license office in Galena to study for the written test.

All students should have their permits by the first day of school.

Second Semester Students 2012 - 2013

Students in second semester for 2012-2013 will receive their instruction permit applications at school in mid-December, 2012. Take the application to the Secretary of State Driver Services Facility in Galena (near Piggly Wiggly). You will take a written test, an eye exam, and you will need to pay $20
